Additional Product Formulation Commitments
- P&G Beauty follows the global ingredient restrictions as listed in the European Cosmetic Directive (specifically Annex II) and the final opinions of the Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR).
- Ingredients known via relevant exposure routes to be human Carcinogens, Mutagens or Reproductive toxicants (specifically CMR 1 & 2 as listed by the European Commission) are not used. Additionally, the company does not use ingredients determined to be persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic.
- P&G Beauty will eliminate the use of any ingredient if new studies raise objective questions regarding its safe use. All new brands and businesses acquired by P&G Beauty are brought into compliance with these principles. Additionally, an inventory of ingredients and a system of product and ingredient specifications ensure compliance with any product safety decisions.
